BREAKING NEWS: Fire Explosion in San Bruno, CA

Earlier this evening around 6:15 pm, it was reported all over the news that there has been a fire explosion in San Bruno CA, not too far away from where I live. Such a devastating situation that is shocking our community. Apparently, the explosion was caused by a high pressure gas line that ran underneath the homes of this residential neighborhood, but the cause of why or how it exploded is still unknown.

Currently, it was reported that there are many burn victims and one fatality. Around 35-45 homes have been severely affected by the fires and as far as I can tell on the news, many have been burned to the ground. My heart is heavily burdened for the families who have lost their homes and are suffering from this tragedy. It makes me think of how devastating it would be if this were to happen to me or my loved ones. I could not help but hug my kids closer and tighter after witnessing this. Such a huge reminder to cherish life and our loved ones every day and to take time to pray and be thankful for God's daily mercies and provisions as we go about our lives. Please be praying for this to resolve quickly and for those in need for healing, comfort, and assistance.

UPDATE: PG&E has confirmed that it was indeed one of their gas pipes that exploded and once the cause is determined, they will take full responsibility. 
53 homes destroyed, 120 homes damaged; figures expected to increase.

updating the blog once again....

just wanted to ask that you bear with all these changes on my blog. i know i've been redesigning and switching things up here and there and it's starting to drive me nuts. i guess as a designer, we can't seem to focus on one thing, there's always something missing or not quite right. sigh... however, i think it's finally coming together. notice, i said---i think. lol.

at the moment, i'm also working on layout templates for a complete album that i hope will turn out great. i'm actually creating it as a template base for my engagement album. it's a clean + simple approach geared towards the modern minimalist which you don't often find coming from me. i typically have an eclectic style--i love artsy, urban, whimsical, shabby chic, sometimes playful, retro, minimalism.... i'm just all over the place! yet, this album is something that i feel is very basic which i find works great with all styles because you can always add or subtract from it and do as you please... okay, enough of that since i need to finish it before i can go into detail.

so yeah...it's now 1:45 am. i better catch some zzzzzz's!

C2 UPDATE

Oh my... did I forget to post yesterday's CREATIVE CONNECTION? By the way, I decided to abbreviate Creative Connection to C2, just because it's short and easy to remember.:)

Yesterday was definitely one of those days where time slipped right by me and realized later that I forgot to post it the moment I laid my head down on my pillow. Happens to us sometimes, right?

Well, I do know that I need to make up for it and I will definitely get to work on it today, but I also want to remind you that tomorrow is FREEBIE FRIDAY and I will need to expire my previous freebie today, so grab that while you can. :) I'm currently working on some holiday products for the store, hopefully to get it done by this weekend!
